## What your customer earns, and what you control

- A balance added from every sale at the till or on the invoice, for a saved customer with a phone number
- Calculated on the pre-tax amount, with extra charges left out
- Validity in months or permanent, and a minimum for deductions

## When is a till discount enough, and when do you need a balance?

Three situations where a store loses its repeat customer without noticing

- **A discount with no trace:** Regulars get a little off whenever the cashier recognises them, and no one can add it up afterwards. A balance puts that goodwill on record, within limits you set.
- **Stamps on paper:** A punch card stays home in the wrong jacket. A phone link shows the balance at any branch.
- **Asking in person:** A request made at the counter fades before the customer is outside. A code on the receipt and a message after payment reach them while the visit is fresh.

### Who gets a balance?

Any saved customer with a phone number, paying by cash or card. The till shows what they'll receive before they pay.

### Which amount is the balance calculated on?

Purchases before tax, leaving out extra charges, worked out as the transaction is created.

### What if several discounts meet on the same transaction?

One sequence every time: manual, coupon, gift voucher, points, cash back, and the bill never goes negative.

### Does the balance work at every branch?

Yes. It belongs to the customer, not the branch: earned at one location, spent at any other.

### And on a return?

It shrinks in proportion to what came back, so it reflects only what the customer kept.

### Where does a customer check what they have collected?

From a wallet link on their phone, with no account or password: the balance, its worth, its validity and a record of every movement.

### Do balances expire?

Your call: after the months you choose, or never. Customers get an alert ahead of time, with the notice period you pick.

### Do rewards come with every plan?

Yes, and it counts toward the apps your plan runs at once. Each extra user is 5 a month on either paid plan.

## What Snad does for a business outside Saudi Arabia

- **Tax rate:** configurable. You set the rate that applies to your invoices; it then applies to subsequent invoices and is shown separately from net sales in reports. Snad applies the configured rate and does not determine which rate is correct for a given business.
- **Currency:** one currency and one time zone for your business, set once — every invoice, report and balance uses it. It is separate from the currency your subscription is billed in (USD outside Saudi Arabia).
- **Government e-invoicing portals:** direct integration is available inside Saudi Arabia only. Elsewhere Snad issues sequentially numbered invoices with no QR code and no government link, keeps the archive and exports reports to Excel.
